Centre of Excellence
TSEC – COE are Centres wherein 2 or 3 courses are being implemented. These Centres are also equipped with labs and spacious classrooms. In some of the TSECs, courses of one particular sector is offered. For example, at Voltas Centre in Thane, Tata STRIVE implements two courses – Room AC Technician and AC&R Operator and this Centre is managed by Tata STRIVE. Similarly, at Taj Centres, Tata STRIVE manages and implements courses related to the Hospitality sector.
Features of a TSEC TS/COE:
- There is existing infrastructure (land and building) which can be developed to a best in class skill development centre with relatively low investment
- Number of courses range from two to three at a time; which makes this centre as a Centre of Excellence (CoE) for those particular trades.
- Centres are usually developed in sub urban or semi urban geographies
- The benefits of setting up smaller centres focusing on specific trainings helps in attracting:
- Youth to join the courses
- Tata group volunteers to render their services
- Capital expenditure would be limited to repairs & maintenance.
Tata STRIVE Extension Centre – Within the Community
TSEC – within the community are multi-skilling centres wherein 2-4 courses are being implemented. These Centres are also equipped with labs and spacious classrooms. Here, courses of different sector is offered. For example, at TSEC Hardoi, TRC Rudrapur, TCL Delhi etc. These centres are mostly in the semi-rural areas where Tata STRIVE is aiming to provide aspiration to youth of local communities by being close to the community.

Initiatives: Tata STRIVE Extension Centre – Institute Enrichment Program:
Tata STRIVE – Institute Enrichment Program (IEP) provides training to the third-year students at partnered institutes in various courses as per industry needs and students' requirements. Currently Tata STRIVE is providing 4-5 courses at various institutes in Mumbai, Hyderabad, Indore and Bangalore. Tata STRIVE also imparts YDM as a stand-alone course in 40+ ITIs in Odisha in collaboration with the Odisha Government.

- Domain (Service or Technical) skilling experience with certification from Tata STRIVE
- Increased self- esteem and confidence in learners demonstrated through communication & conduct
- Enhance proficiency in using digital tools
- Enhanced awareness and sensitivity for safety, environment leading to more responsible behavior
