Tata Memorial Centre invites applications for its new degree programme — Master of Science in Patient Navigation in Oncology Care. Globally, this is the first degree programme in patient navigation, offering specialisation in a new vertical of oncology care delivery.
Course details
The two-year “Master of Science in Patient Navigation (Oncology)” is a postgraduate degree awarded by the Homi Bhabha National Institute (HBNI), a deemed-to-be University. The course will take place at the Tata Memorial Centre, followed by a mandatory one-year internship at any of the TMC hospitals across India. The program will begin on August 1, 2025.

Minimum eligibility criteria
Only Indian Nationals can apply.
- Full time Graduation/Post graduation from UGC recognised University with minimum 50% marks preferably in Medical Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Public Health, Communications, MBBS, Graduate in Medicine (Allopathy, Homeopathy, Ayurveda, Unani, Siddha), BDS, BOT, BPT, Nursing, Pharmacy, BSc, Paramedical Technology, Hospital Administration or Engineering/technology.
- Graduate/Post graduate from any other disciplines can also apply.
- Two years of work experience in patient navigation in oncology centre will be preferred.
- Candidates awaiting their graduation results can also apply, but must submit their graduation results on the day of the interview.
Selection criteria
- Selection will be based on the evaluation of performance of candidates in MCQ, followed by Essay writing, Comprehension, Aptitude Test and Personal Interview.
- A fixed number of candidates in order of merit (not exceeding 3 times the number of seats) will be called for the interview.
