                                                                                                          The Trusts worked closely with The India Nutrition

                                                                                                        Litres Per Day (LLPD) of milk during the year,
                                                                                                        benefitting  approximately 133 million people and
                                                                                                        helping reduce the insufficiency of Vitamin A and D,
                                                                                                        significantly. Six state cooperative dairies continued
                                                                                                        fortification even after support from the Trusts
                                                                                                        ended; besides, various private dairies commenced
                                                                                                        fortifying milk on their own. The partnership with
                                                                                                        National Dairy Development Board resulted in a
                                                                                                        significant scale-up of the ‘Gift Milk Scheme’, i.e.
                                                                                                        provision of milk to school children.
