Mumbai, April 23, 2024: Mr Ratan N Tata, Chairman of Tata Trusts, has been conferred with the prestigious KISS Humanitarian Award 2021, in recognition of his unwavering commitment to social development and exemplary leadership.
The award ceremony was held on April 22, 2024, at Mr Tata's residence in Mumbai. It was attended by Tata Group Chairman N Chandrasekaran and musician Ricky Kej. Dr Achyuta Samanta, Founder, Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) and Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS), presented the award to Mr Tata.
Expressing his deep gratitude towards KISS and its founder, Mr Tata remarked, "I am extremely happy to receive this honour."

His social work and leadership have been an inspiration to me since my childhood." Dr Samanta further elaborated on his lifelong admiration for Mr Tata, as he recalled his father's association with the Tata Group.
Established in 2008 by Dr Achyuta Samanta, the KISS Humanitarian Award is the highest honour bestowed by KIIT and KISS. It recognises individuals and organisations worldwide who embody the spirit of humanitarian work. Previous recipients of this prestigious award include a distinguished group of global leaders, Nobel laureates, and prominent figures from various sectors.
