  • How financially independent is my city?

    The Tata Trusts in association with World Council of City Data have facilitated the first international benchmarking exercise in urban India, through the implementation of the ISO 37120 framework in 8 Indian cities under the City Data for India Initiative. The framework cuts across 100 indicators under 17 themes linked to enhancing the quality of life of citizens, thereby, furthering the development of sustainable cities and communities. The City Data Reports is a series of best practices related to data driven practices in the certified cities, being published as a part of this initiative. The CDR for Pune assesses financial independence, an important indicator for economic development of city administrations.
