This is the second volume in a series that chronicles Tata Trusts’ impactful work and enduring commitment to India’s development journey, simultaneously advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs).

Building on the foundation laid by the first volume, Stories of Change –#Journey to the Global Goals (published in 2019), which documented the Trusts’ early efforts in aligning with the UN SDGs, this new edition, delves deeper into the transformative journeys of communities across India. At the heart of these narratives lies the CARE framework: Community, Aspirations, Resilience, and Equity. They serve as both a lens and a guide, offering a meaningful way to understand the deep, transformative impact the Trusts’ initiatives have on people’s lives and how sustainable change takes root and flourishes in communities.

Through powerful, real-life narratives, this book captures how communities across India are driving change—fuelled by their aspirations and dreams, strengthened by resilience, and united by a shared pursuit of equity are shaping their own futures. These stories are further anchored in four key pillars of human development: Livelihood, Learning, Health, and Habitat—areas in which Tata Trusts has focused and continues to make efforts to bring about significant and lasting difference.

Through a collaborative approach, Tata Trusts continues to work alongside marginalised populations, helping unlock potential and build pathways to prosperity. Each tale is a reflection of sustainable, inclusive progress that aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs).
